The Video Page allows you to add a video to your sign-in flow. Most commonly, this has been used to show safety orientations, company promotional videos, or instructions to interviewees.
Videos can be marked as mandatory and can also automatically skip if viewed previously.
Adding the Video Page to your Experience
Simply choose the Video Page from the experience editor's page menu when adding it to your sign-in flow. To learn more about using the Experience Editor, click HERE.
YouTube and MP4 Video Types
To choose a video, pick YouTube as the Video Type and enter the URL of any YouTube video.
Alternatively, you can also change the video type to MP4 if you have your own video file. However it must be hosted online and have a public URL (eg. Github). These links must have .mp4 at the end of the URL. Google Drive links will NOT work.
Optional Settings
Auto play video: Starts the video playing immediately. Disable this if you'd like your guest to start the video themselves.
Disable timeline scrubbing: This prevents your guest from fast forwarding through the video using the video timeline. If your video is mandatory, enable this feature.
Force users to complete video: This prevents your guest from skipping the video completely. If your video is mandatory, enable this feature.
Skip if Previously Watched: Traction Guest will remember if someone watched your video the last time they signed in. If you'd like guests to skip the video if they watched it the last time they signed in, enable this feature.
Save your changes and they'll be automatically synced down to your iPad (make sure the experience is associated with your iPad in Locations/Events if this doesn't happen automatically).
Guest Book Entries
Guest Book entries will include Video Status. You'll see if the video was watched, or skipped. You can click on the Status link to view the video that was watched.
