The Sign-out Page allows your visitors to sign-out on the iPad by entering the e-mail address, name, or phone number they used to sign-in. This article shows how to use the Secondary Button on the Welcome Page to then route your visitors to a sign-out path.
The sections below include:
Where To Add The Sign-out Page
The Sign-out Page can be added to your sign-in flow just like any other page in your Experience Editor. Simply select the Sign-out Page option from the page menu and click ADD. For more information on using the experience editor, click HERE
The Sign-out Page should be added in the path created by the Enable Secondary Button option from the Welcome Page. Check the Enable Secondary Button box then change the text if needed. You can add additional pages to the new branch as needed for your use case, but this is most commonly used for sign-out. Simply add your Sign-out Page into this flow.
Sign-Out Page Settings
In order to reference the right sign-in record, by default the visitor needs to use the same email they used when they signed in. After a visitor types the first four characters of their email address, the rest will autofill.
You can add other unique identifiers using the checkboxes for Search by phone and Search by full name. However, if you enable these other methods, the visitor must type in their full details. (eg. John Smith rather than just John).
As well, you can Add QR Code Scanning which will read a QR code printed on a badge during sign-in.
IPad Sign-Out Example
Visitors can now return to the iPad to for self sign-out. The secondary button is visible at the bottom of the Welcome Page. They can then follow the prompts to complete their sign-out.
Note: If you've allowed mobile phone and full name as sign-methods, exact matches are mandatory. There is no autofill in order to prevent a visitor's data from displaying onscreen for a different guest.
