Deliveries is a Traction Guest mobile app feature which allows you to keep track of packages that arrive on-site. The feature allows you to:

  • Scan packages that arrive onsite via your phone’s camera

  • Send an automated alert to the package’s recipient

  • Mark packages as collected

  • Keep track of all collected/not-collected packages on-site.

Using the Mobile App

The Deliveries feature can be accessed via the Traction Guest mobile app. If you do not yet have the app, download Traction Guest Mobile from your app store. Click HERE to learn more.

Adding New Deliveries

Packages can be scanned directly via the app. To begin the process, click on the ‘New’ button at the bottom of your screen. Then, click DELIVERY.

A new screen will appear which automatically opens your phone’s camera. The top of your screen will show the location that you are assigning the package to. If you’d like to change the location, simply tap the location name and choose from the dropdown list.

You can now scan the labels of each package directly from your phone’s camera. Simply point the camera at the label and click on the green circle near the bottom of your screen. Make sure that the recipient’s name is clearly visible as this will be automatically matched to a corresponding host in Traction Guest (You can manually assign this later if a host is not initially found).

Repeat this process for every new package you’d like to scan. You do not have to close the window to scan a new package. Simply point your camera at a new label and tap the green scan button again.

The indicator in the top-right hand corner of the screen will show how many packages are being processed. To view these packages, tap the back button, then the DELIVERIES icon at the bottom of the screen.

Host Notifications

Once scanned and processed, the app will automatically send a notification to the host it identifies from the package label. The recipient MUST be an existing host in your account in order to send them the automated notification. Otherwise, you must manually assign the host after the package is initially scanned. To learn how to add hosts into your account, click HERE.

Once a host is assigned, they will automatically receive an email alert displaying the location and arrival time of the package. The host can then click the MARK AS COLLECTED button at the bottom of their email which will update the package’s pick-up status.

Note: Reminder emails will be sent once a day until the package has been marked as collected.

Viewing and Editing Existing Deliveries

You can view all scanned packages directly within the app and also through the web admin portal. To learn more about the Deliveries admin view, see THIS section below.

On the app, simply click on the Deliveries button at the bottom of the screen.

The location you’re viewing will be visible at the top part of the screen. To change location, tap on the name and choose from the drop-down list. You can then sort your packages by NOT COLLECTED or COLLECTED.

A list of existing deliveries will now be displayed. To view/edit the details of a specific entry, simply tap on it. From there, you can edit its host or carrier by tapping the pencil icon in the top-right corner.

If a host cannot be initially matched to the recipient on the package’s label, it will be marked as 'Unidentified' and a red exclamation mark will appear next to it. You must manually assign a host to it.

Note: Collected packages cannot be edited.

Viewing Deliveries in the Web Portal

Alongside the mobile app, you can keep track of existing deliveries from your Traction Guest web account. Simply click on the Deliveries icon in the left navigation bar. You will then see a list of all your scanned packages.

Along the top bar, you can filter these deliveries by Collected, Not Collected, or All. You can also select a specific location or group of locations to view.

Editing Packages in the Web Portal

Any packages with the No Recipient status indicate that no host has been associated to it. To manually add a host, click on the ‘Add Recipient' button and choose from your existing host list. Your chosen host will then receive an email notification.

Additionally, any package that is marked as ‘Not collected’ can be edited, even if a host is already assigned to it. Simply click on the recipient name to either change the recipient or manually mark the package as collected.
