Sign In Enterprise integrates with Slack to directly send notifications to hosts when a guest signs in. This article walks through the setup process via the Host Selection Page.
Installation
A Slack Administrator is required to install the integration to ensure the right permissions are established. If a slack admin does not already have ADMIN user credentials into your Sign In Enterprise account, you can add one following the steps outlined in THIS article.
First, head to the Integrations tab and click the Slack tile to configure the Slack integration.
Then, click the Install button and follow the prompts to link your Slack account. If you have multiple workspaces, you can select the correct one via the dropdown in the top-right corner.
Once complete, the Traction Guest slack app will appear in your Slack instance. Hosts will receive their notifications from this app.
Message and Photo Configuration
You can now add Slack notifications to your Host Selection Pages in the Experience Editor. Click Add Notification at the bottom of your Host Selection Page(s), then click Slack Notification.
Next, type your message in the Message field. You can use basic Traction Guest tokens to fill the message with the guest's contact details. Feel free to use this example message to try it out: #firstname# #lastname# from #company# is here to see you.
Optionally, you can choose to include Photo by checking the box below the message. This will display the guest's photo in the slack notification as well.
Adding Buttons
In addition to sending a message and photo to your host, you can also include buttons that will send an email notification to the host's visitor, depending on the selected button. These buttons can be used to relay important information to the guest, depending on the host's status. For example, if those host is running late, you can give them a button which will send an email to the guest telling them to sit tight.
Guests cannot reply to this email, so we recommend adding instructions to contact hosts directly within the email template if need be.
These Host emails must created in the email template editor prior to adding them to your Slack notification. For more info on the email template editor, check out THIS article.
A Slack notification with an included photo and buttons would then look something like this:
