Sign In Scheduling takes accessibility seriously, and we believe strongly that everyone should be able to use online appointment scheduling software with ease. No matter your age, technical aptitude, abilities or access to technology, we want to make sure you're able to use our software.
We take a number of steps to help make this possible, and outline them in this guide.
WGAC compliance
Sign In Scheduling's classic booking page is WCAG compliant. WCAG stands for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and refers to the process of making web content accessible to people with disabilities.
WCAG specifies a number of technical requirements for making web content more accessible, such as providing text alternatives for images and videos, designing pages to be easily navigable using keyboard commands, and ensuring that the text can be enlarged or changed in color without losing functionality.
You'll find Sign In Scheduling's accessibility statement on our legal page here, which contains more information about our WCAG compliance.
Screen reading
Sign In Scheduling's classic booking page is compatible with screen readers, which are an accessibility tool for people with visual impairments or who have difficulty reading.

Automated voice bookings
As well the option to book online, Sign In Scheduling offers your customers the ability to place bookings over the phone, without the need for a person on the other end.
Sign In Scheduling's voice bookings feature incorporates an automated voice generated by artificial intelligence, which speaks to your customers and prompts them to select options by using the numbers on the keypad.
This feature is great for customers who might not have access to a computer or an email address, or who might not feel confident enough to use a computer to book appointments.

Omni-channel reminders
With Sign In Scheduling you have the ability to send booking reminders and other communications to your customers via email, SMS and automated voice reminders. For more information on managing customer messaging, click here.
Automated voice reminders don't require customers to use a computer or have an email address. If voice reminders have been activated, the customer's phone will ring and they'll receive an automated message when they pick up. A voice generated by artificial intelligence will deliver the message, which will repeat to ensure the customer has sufficient time to understand it.

Video conferencing
Following the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic, online meetings became not only commonplace but essential. They remain crucial a few years on, for a multitude of reasons. Utilizing the option to host online appointments makes your business more inclusive; some customers simply can't attend appointments in person. For these customers, online appointments are pivotal.
Sign In Scheduling offers native integrations with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom to aid you in hosting online appointments simply and effectively.
Webinars
At Sign In Scheduling we hold regular webinars and demos, which provide great opportunities to learn more about the benefits our accessible software can bring to businesses across a multitude of sectors.

We happily accept suggestions for improvement and are constantly building and adapting our software in accordance with these.
