Updated over 3 months ago

This release focuses on improvements to the Graph synchronisation engine reliability and quality, and a range of quality-of-life fixes across booking, billing, and catering.

Synchronisation Improvements

We’ve made significant progress in the Sync Engine area and whilst these updates will definitely improve stability and synchronisation quality; the work here is not yet complete. We will continue to work diligently in this area, and are already planning the next phases of development to deliver an optimum solution.

  • Fixed all-day meetings created in Outlook not syncing to Planner with the correct room information (shi-249).

  • Stopped duplicate meeting records appearing during calendar resyncs and prevented future duplicates (shi-248).

  • Ensured billing account details copy correctly to recurring meetings created via Outlook (shi-244).

  • Prevented room bookings being lost when converting single Outlook events to recurring meetings without the add-in (shi-242).

  • Prevented catering orders from switching location when syncing from the Outlook add-in without a room selection (hdmw-77).

Booking & Calendar

  • Fixed ATTEN-4 errors when editing bookings in the Outlook add-in by auto-deriving company info from email domains when the company field is missing (hdmw-66).

  • Improved session timeout handling during booking to avoid unnecessary error logs and interruptions (hdmw-68).

  • Fixed save errors when editing meetings without changing rooms in the Outlook add-in (hdmw-70).

  • Corrected calendar time display after creating non-all-day bookings in NBE, and when toggling the all-day option (hdmw-71).

  • Fixed error 500 when accessing the Closing Period tab for rooms with existing bookings (hdmw-72).

  • Fixed an issue preventing deletion of recurring bookings synced from the Outlook add-in (shi-211).

  • Fixed a sync issue where bookings deleted in Outlook could remain active in Planner and block the room (shi-214).

  • Fixed booking location disappearing in Outlook after editing meetings in Planner (shi-233).

  • App crashes after pressing “Space” to search Booking list (hdmw-50).
    Can’t close equipment dialog (hdmw-58).

  • Improve “All Day” switch on NBE (hdmw-91).

  • No deletion confirmation email sent when cancelling meeting via Outlook Add-in (hdmw-87)

Improved Reliability in the Outlook VSTO Add-in

We’ve resolved a long-standing issue in the Outlook VSTO add-in when moving between WiFi access points resulted in unrecoverable errors. These interruptions often disrupted booking workflows. With this update, the add-in now handles connectivity changes much more gracefully, resulting in a more stable booking experience. (hdmw-45)

Multiple Location Booking

We’ve improved how bookers assigned to multiple locations in Active Directory are handled in Planner when using the new book experience (NBE).

  • Previously, a user could only have one active location in their profile, even if they belonged to several location groups. This prevented them from booking across multiple assigned locations.

  • With this update, Planner now:

    • Allows booking across all assigned locations for users with multiple local booker rights.

    • Filters the location list so users only see the locations they are permitted to book, reducing confusion.

    • Continues to grant Booker Global users access to all locations.

This enhancement provides a smoother experience for users managing bookings across multiple sites, while ensuring permissions remain respected. (HDMW-62)

Billing

  • Pre-populates the billing account list with the user’s department accounts (up to 50) to speed up selection (hdmw-76).

  • Auto-selects the only available billing account when there’s just one across booking interfaces (hdmw-82).

  • Billing note is required although the setting is disabled (hdmw-84).

Stronger Security for Intercom In-App Messenger (hdmw-65)

We strengthened the in-app messenger with Intercom identity verification, ensuring every message is tied to a securely authenticated user. This protects against unauthorised access and guarantees that conversations remain private and secure. This change is an enabler for further downstream benefits - watch this space!

Catering

  • Stopped catering delivery fees appearing as a separate serving in confirmation emails so they match Planner’s display (hdmw-53).

  • Fixed delivery fee display inconsistency in booking details on the Home page (hdmw-74).

  • Corrected spacing between quantity and notes for catering products in the booking view (hdmw-79).

  • Corrected serving number display for meetings with multiple catering servings (hdmw-83).

Other Enhancements

  • Shows all active users across locations, with clearer search messaging and more consistent results (hdmw-88).

  • Correctly recognizes users from matching internal domains as internal rather than external (hdmw-67).

  • Delivery Note report now filters by the selected delivery date only, excluding unrelated prior dates (hdmw-64).

  • Fixed user profile saving timeouts for large-scale customers when updating distinguished names (shi-197).

  • Added automated code-format validation to the GitHub Actions workflow (shi-226).

  • Remove Storybook dependency (shi-213).

  • Display Interactivity Settings now work correctly when using the Orion Design style (HDMW-61)
