Accessing the Advanced Editor
You can access the Advanced Editor from the Profiles Tab by clicking the 'Advanced Editor' button in the top right-hand corner as below:
This editor is designed to give an Excel-like experience to those of you who are familiar.
Show or Hide Columns
On the right of the grid is the field selector. If it's hidden, press the 'Fields' button to reveal the list. You can then select or deselect which columns you want to see:
Pinning Columns
To stop the column from scrolling horizontally with the rest of the fields, you can pin columns. Just click on the column header, and select Pin Column. You can then choose to pin the column to the left, or to the right:
Filtering in Advanced Editor
You will see that you have the option to filter which profiles appear in the Advanced Editor at the top left of the screen.
To change the filter simply click on either of the already selected filters and make the changes you’d like.
You can also enter values into the column filters, where it allows, this will filter in addition to what you have selected in the filter bar. Either type directly into the filter box, or you can click the filter icon to modify it for a more advanced filter.
The Filter Bar
Our Filter component appears in a few places in the application. It allows you to reduce the number of Profiles you are viewing by selecting a few of the most common options.
Here is a typical example of what the Filter bar looks like:
This will show exactly what it says, all profile types that only have the Active and Onboarding tags.
Filtering by Profile Type
To change the selected profile types, click on all profile types and a drop-down will appear.
In here, you can now toggle on and off what you want to see. A tick means that the item will be shown. Once you have set your selection, press the Apply button.
Filtering by Tag
To change the list of tags, simply press the 'with Active and Onboarding' button to see the following drop-down:
Choose what you would like to see, and press Apply. You must select at least one item.
Filtering by Ratings
If you want to filter profiles that have passed or failed specific ratings, press the plus button at the end of the filter, and choose from the available filters:
You will then be able to modify the filter, for example, if you want to change from Inspector Ready to not Inspector Ready, click the filter and change the option.
You can add a new filter for each rating system, the end result may be something like this:
Sorting in the Advanced Editor
You can sort the grid by clicking on a column header. If you click again, this will reverse the sort order.
