The Quiz Page allows you to incorporate quizzes into your registration experiences. This feature can be used to test visitors' knowledge or understanding of critical safety requirements, company policies, or other essential topics before completing their registration. It supports multiple-choice questions and provides options for failure routing to ensure that they are sent down the proper registration flow depending on if they pass or fail.

This guide will walk you through accessing and setting up the Quiz Page feature step by step.

Table of Contents

Accessing the Quiz Page Feature

  1. From the admin portal, click the Experiences button in the left menu bar.

  2. .Open an existing Registration Experience or create a new one.

    • Note: The Quiz Page feature is only available within registration experiences, not kiosk experiences.

Adding the Quiz Page to a Registration Experience

  1. From the list of available pages in the experience editor, locate the Quiz Page.

  2. Drag and drop the Quiz Page into your desired spot within registration experience flow.

Use-Case Tip: The Signature Page or Video Page are good ways to present information before your visitor encounters the quiz page. You can show a training video or other training materials displayed in a document that your visitor can study before they take the quiz.

Configuring the Quiz Page

Setting a Data Name

Locate the Data Name field at the top of the Quiz Page settings. Enter a unique name (e.g., safety_quiz) that you can easily recognize later.

This field is required and serves as a unique identifier for the Quiz Page in the backend. This will be displayed when viewing a user's quiz answers within the registration portal.

Adding Questions and Answers

Adding a Question

  1. To add your first question, click the Add Question button.

  2. Fill in the Data Name for the question. This must be unique and will not be visible to your visitors (e.g., hardhat_question1).

  3. Enter the question text in the Question field. This will be visible to your visitors.

    • Example: What is the required headgear?

Adding Answers

Questions are presented in multiple choice format. For each question, you can add up to 10 selections, and designate which answer is correct:

  1. Click the Add Answer button for each option you'd like to show the visitor (i.e. If your question has 4 multiple choice options, you will click Add Answer 4 times).

  2. Enter each possible answer.

    • For Example, if the question is "What is the required headgear onsite, you can add answers such as:

      • Answer 1: Regular hat

      • Answer 2: Hard hat

      • Answer 3: No hat

  3. For the correct answer, check the Is Correct Answer checkbox below it.

    • Example: In this case, "Hard hat" is the correct answer.

4. Repeat steps 1–3 for additional questions. You can have up to 50 for each quiz page.

    • Example: Add a second question, "What is the required chest gear?", and provide multiple-choice answers like "High-vis vest," "Nothing required," and "X-Ray Vest."

    • Mark "High-vis vest" as the correct answer.

Note: To delete an answer or change its order within the multiple choice list, hover your mouse over the answer boxes. The arrow and trash icons will appear in the top-right corner of each answer.

Configuring Failure Routing

Failure routing determines what happens if a user fails to meet the required passing criteria. To set it up:

  1. Click the Add Failure Routing button. A new path will appear to the right of the quiz page.

  2. Set the Passing Grade by specifying the percentage of correct answers required.

    • eg. If the passing grade for the quiz is 75%, simply type 75.

  3. The new path is where your visitor will be redirected if they fail. You can add pages or provide written instructions as you deem fit.

Use Case Example: If you'd like to give them another try, you can add another quiz page down the fail path with the exact same questions.

Otherwise, ensure you've written instructions on any page telling them next steps. For example, your Thank You Page can be configured to send an alert to an admin and present instructions such as "You are not allowed entry until you've passed the quiz. One of our staff will provide further instructions shortly."

Viewing Quiz Answers

Visitors will click through the answers when they encounter the Quiz Page in the registration portal. Correct answers will be highlighted in green while wrong answers will be highlighted in red.

They can only make one selection per question and will be locked out from changing their answer. The NEXT button will only appear after the quiz is complete.

After their registration is complete, you can view their answers from the Invites page, alongside the rest of their registration details.
