Through our Scanner Page, you have the ability to scan any passport as well as a Canadian and US Driver's license. You can then push this information to the guestbook as well as capture a photo of the ID itself.

Note: This is a separate process from the ID Scanning through Gemalto scanners through Assisted Check-in. To learn how to set up ACI, click HERE.

Driver's License Scanning

You have the option of scanning both the Front and Back of a Driver's License. Each side serves a different function.

Scanning the front will allow you to include an image of either the Face, Full License, or Both within the sign-in record. You are also able to write custom instructions as well as Glare instructions if the camera is having trouble picking up the ID.

Scanning the back of a Driver's License allows you to map the driver's license information onto the guestbook automatically.

You have the option of including:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • License Number

  • Date of Birth

  • Gender

  • Document Type

  • Expiry Date

  • Street

  • City

  • State/Province

  • Postal Code

  • Eye Colour

  • Hair Colour

  • Height

NOTE: You are able to collect both the front and back of a driver’s license from the same ID Scan page. This will allow you to include both an image and scanned data in your guestbook.

Passport Scanning

You are able to automatically scan the Bio page of a passport and map that information into the Guestbook.

You can choose to include:

  • Photo of passport

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • License Number

  • Date of Birth

  • Gender

  • Document Type

  • Expiry Date

  • Nationality

  • Issuer

NOTE: Enabling both Driver's License scanning and Passport scanning will allow your guest to choose between the two on the iPad.

Name Mismatch Options

You may choose to collect your guest’s basic contact details before the ID scan page. The ID scan can then be used to verify that the name entered by the guest matches the name on the ID.

To see this feature on the Scanner page, either an About You page, Summary Page, or Form page needs to be included in the experience before the Scanner Page in the workflow.

A section called 'Name Mismatch Options' will then appear near the top of the Scanner Page. Clicking the checkbox will allow you to send a guest down a different path in the sign-in flow. You can also choose a watchlist colour to associate the guest with for that specific sign-in. This does not add the guest to your overall internal watchlist.
