How do I Remove the Information Icon from the Welcome Page?

The information icon on the Kiosk App allows you to set up printer settings and manually call our server for updates. However, if you'd like to remove the possibility of a visitor accidentally messing with those settings, you can remove the icon entirely.


Once this icon is removed, you are blocked from altering your printer settings or from manually refreshing the kiosk. While you can re-enable it at any time, we recommend ensuring that your printer settings are correct to mitigate inconvenience.

To do this, you will need to:

  1. Exit the Kiosk app and open the Settings app on the iPad.

  2. Scroll down the left navigation bar until you see SIE Kiosk.

  3. In the SIE Kiosk settings, turn on the Disable Information Icon button.

  4. Re-open the SIE Kiosk app.


You may not see the change right away. The Welcome Page needs to reload for this change to take place. You can reload the Welcome Page by:

  • Waiting a few minutes for the kiosk to automatically refresh.

  • Tap on the information icon and refresh the theme manually.

  • Go forward and back in the Experience to trigger a new load of the Welcome Page.


Removing the info icon from the Kiosk Experience

Another way to remove the info icon from the iPad is from the Kiosk Experience Editor. This will apply to all iPads that share the same Kiosk Experience:

  1. Open the Kiosk Experience that is assigned to the iPad and find the Welcome Page.

  2. Select the Disable Information Icon option.
