When registering attendees to a meeting in Planner, the attendees marked as external, will automatically be pre-registered in SIE as Visitors on the day of the meeting (see section Info on specifications on this)
The user will not have to do differently when using Outlook or the Web module. Attendees added to an appointment will be pre-registered in SIE VM, if they are resolved as external.
Rescheduling a meeting, via Outlook or Planner Web, will update the pre-registrations in SIE.
Delete a meeting, via Outlook or Planner Web, will cancel the pre-registrations in SIE.
Requirements:
SIE account
Planner configured with integration to SIE - requires SIS helpdesk
Planner location must be linked to the respective location in SIE
In Planner->Organization->Locations

Only attendees marked as external will be pre-registered, if:
Attendees resolved from an Outlook appointment with Planner rooms will automatically be pre-registered in SIE VM.
Attendees invited to an Outlook appointment without any Planner rooms, will only be pre-registered in SIE VM if user opens the Outlook Planner Add-in
Attendees resolved from a Planner Web Reservation will automatically be pre-registered in SIE VM
