The Sign In App - Central Record integration syncs employee data from Sign In App to Central Record, where the relevant checks are completed before the results feed back into Sign In App. This safeguards your premises like never before, giving full visibility in Sign In App for compliance, so you always know at a glance who should be allowed on site.
The integration also allows you to block entry based on compliance status in Central Record, if you choose to enable this.

Setting up the Integration

Viewing Central Record data in Sign In App
The Central Record data will appear in a number of places across your Sign In App system including the Activity page and Members profiles. The data pulled across from Central Record is grouped into Inspector and School ready, if you’re already using Central Record then you will be familiar with this, but if not here is a brief outline of what these terms mean.
Inspector ready - These are the checks that are statutory as per KCSiE and required by OFSTED and the ISI. To be Inspector ready, all of these checks must to be completed for that member.
School ready - These are the checks that are non statutory, but considered best practice as per KCSiE. To be School ready, all of the non statutory checks must be completed for that member.
Members
From Sign In App if you head to your People directory you will be presented with an additional Central Record check column which shows an overview of each persons compliance:
Tip: If you cannot see this column it may be hidden from view. Click on the cogwheel icon to select which columns you'd like to see in your people directory.
To view specific information, select a member to view and you can see key information about each member which has been pulled through from Central Record via the Central record tab:
If a person has missing Central record data, this will show clearly on the Central record tab and also as a warning in the Details tab:
Activity page
If you click the Activity tab in the Sign In App portal you will see an overview of who is signed in and out across your sites. With safety check set to Include Sign In Central Record's entry criteria in the safety check you will see details of the member’s CR status next to their sign in record.
If there is a red shield next to a member's sign in record, it means they’re not compliant based on your specifications of which rating system(s) you would like Sign In App to check:
Notifications
You can set up notification rules to ensure that when a sign in doesn’t meet the safety check criteria, the correct people are notified. To get started, from the Sign In App portal head to Manage > Advanced Notifications.
If you’re using Allow sign in when entry criteria is not met then you need to make sure the Trigger is set to Safety check failed. This means that if someone signs in and isn’t School and Inspector ready then a notification will be triggered.
If you’re using Reject sign in when entry criteria is not met then you need to make sure the Trigger is set to Rejected sign in. This means that if someone signs in and isn’t School and Inspector ready their sign in will be rejected and a notification will be triggered.
