You can now see all Planner meetings and booking directly in Outlook without having to install an Add-In.

Planner has been extended with an option to expose an iCalendar feed, that will allow you to add your Planner events as its own calendar in your Outlook Calendar or your favorite calendar application.

!! Before anyone can start adding Planner calendar feeds to their Outlook client you need to enable it for your organization. !! !! Go to the menu Administration -> Settings -> Meeting Settings. !! !! Find the section Integrate Calendars and enable the setting “Enable use of public URLs calendar feed for Planner”. !!

Generate user calendar feed

If a user wants to make use of the calendar feed in their Outlook calendar they first need to generate a calendar feed. To do this, they need to go to My Settings. Click the Enable calendar feed button

This generates a unique URL to access the calendar feed. Copy the URL by clicking the copy button.

A public URL has now been generated. Be aware that this is public and can be accessed by anyone that has the URL. So keep it safe.

If you suspect that it has been shared, you can disable the feed and enable it again. That will generate a new URL.

Add calendar to Outlook

Open Outlook and navigate to your calendar. Right click the calendar group you wish to add the Feed to. Then go to the menu Add Calendar -> From Internet.

Paste the URL generated in Planner into the location field.

The calendar will now appear in Outlook.
