Syncing with DISS involves two steps: first, you will need to download the right DISS report for synchronization. Second, you'll use that file in the Compliance DISS sync wizard. Here's how it works:
DISS imports do not create or update users. They only add eligibility and access information.
Uploading your DISS File
1. Download your data from DISS. This important first step requires that you choose the right report in the right format, with no modifications. The report should be in CSV format.
Click this link to download a CSV template: DISS Subject Report Template.csv
2. Login to your account and navigate to the People section from the left navigation bar.
3. Click the Import DISS button in the top-right corner.
4. Click Begin Import and upload your file into the wizard.
For larger uploads, you will see a progress bar that shows how many records are processed, successful, failed, and remaining.
If you need need to exit the page in the middle of the download, you can
come back to it at any time by heading back into the People section and clicking Import DISS.
Click the Continue Import Review to pick up where you left off.
When the upload is complete, you will receive an email notification that provides a summary of your import. This includes total records, successfully processed, failed records, and unmatched users.
Any errors will also be indicated, as shown in the example below:
The status of the upload will also be visible within the Import Wizard. If there are any Errors, you may still upload the successful entries.
Updating Accesses and Eligibilities
After your file is processed, you will see two buttons:
Click here to view a list of users who need to be uploaded to Compliance: Shows entries in your uploaded DISS file that are not already users in Compliance. These users must be added first before their accesses and eligibilities can be added through the import wizard.
View Differences: This appears if the import wizard detects discrepancies between the access or eligibility information in your file and their respective user info in Compliance. Click this button to review those differences and decide how to handle them.
2. After clicking View Differences, click the checkbox next to all users you'd like to update (or click the checkbox in the top-left corner of the table to select all). Then, click Import from DISS at the top of the table. Follow the prompts to continue the upload process.
Note: You do not need to update all records. Simply leave the checkbox unchecked for any entries that need to be left alone. Then, click Continue and Skip Importing Remaining to complete the process.
7. On the Finalize page, you will see a final tally of people who will be updated. To finalize the process, click Finish Import.
