The Sign In App offers support for over 25 languages, enabling visitors to sign in using their preferred language. This comprehensive language support extends to all system fields, buttons, and messages, ensuring a fully localised experience.
With Custom translations, you have the flexibility to provide personalized translations for sign in/out fields, notices, welcome messages and group names.
With AI Translations the system can automatically generate translations in your selected languages for fields and notices, as well as pre-registration and confirmation messages. The translations can still be customised. Please note that this feature is currently in beta testing.
Set up
In this guide, we will walk you through the setup process for translating sign in & sign out fields, notices, and group names.
Additionally, we’ll outline the steps a visitor needs to follow to sign in using their language of choice.
Sign in & out fields
Sign in & out fields allow you to present a series of questions/fields as part of the sign in process. To set up AI Translations for your fields head to Manage > Sites > Select site > Sign in & out
Click an existing field to edit, or click Add sign in/out field. From the field editor, select the language(s) you wish to add and then click Translate:
You can check and amend the translations by clicking on each translation once complete to see the translated field, and you can make any further edits to your translation in here.
Click Save at the bottom to complete the set up.
Notices
Notices allow you to present longer form agreements and policies that visitors can agree to as part of the sign in process. To set up AI translations for notices, head to Manage > Sites > Select site > Sign in & out, either click to edit an existing notice or click Add notice to set up a new one.
From the notice editor, select the language(s) you wish to add and then click Translate:
You can check and amend the translations by clicking on each translation once complete to see the translated notice, and you can make any further edits to your translation in here.
Click Save at the bottom to complete the set up.
Group names
To add a custom translation for the name of the visitor group, head to Manage > Visitor Groups > Select group > Details and click the Translations button under Group name:
Select the language from the dropdown and then provide the translation:
Click Add Translation to add any further translations needed. Once done, click Save to complete the set up.
Tip: If you'd like a different display name to show on the kiosk for this group, you can add this by adding a Group name translation here. This will then use this name to display on the kiosk rather than your Group name.
Pre-registrations
To add an AI translation for your pre-registration email, head to Manage > Visitor Groups > Select group > Pre-registration and click the Edit email template.
Under Translations, select the language(s) you wish to add and then click Translate:
You can check and amend the translations by clicking on each translation once complete to see the translated text, and you can make any further edits to your translation in here.
Click Save at the bottom to complete the set up.
Confirmation messages
Confirmation messages allow you to provide a message that is displayed when a visitor has completed the sign in or sign out process.
To customise this head to Manage > Visitor Groups > Select group > Advanced in & out and scroll down to Confirmation messages.
From the notice editor, select the language(s) you wish to add and then click Translate.
You can check and amend the translations by clicking on each translation once complete to see the confirmation message translated, and you can make any further edits to your translation in here.
Click Save at the bottom to complete the set up.
Visitor sign in
Once you’ve got the translations set up in your Sign In App portal, your visitors, contractors, and employees can sign in and view the relevant translations.
Kiosk
When signing in from Sign In App on a tablet, the visitor needs to tap the language icon (this will be either a Country flag or Language icon depending on your Kiosk configuration) on the screen with the Sign in and Sign out buttons.
